Tools of the trade

Avery Dennison are top of the game when it comes to heat applied badges and labels for the fashion and sportswear industry. Their products take some beating, but they felt the need to raise the bar with their B2B sales tools.

We helped them to develop a Panini style sticker album for badge collectors, all the way from concept ideation through to production. The Crest Collection was shared with creative influencers and key client account holders.

Riffing off the unique qualities of the classic panini sticker album, we dialed in to the nostalgia with ‘shiny’ foil editions and tear-open packs, whilst encouraging swapsy culture amongst recipients.

The recipients were encouraged to add their own favourite badges along with the regular update packs sent out by AD, with a view to building out an industry-leading archive of badges, ready for reference on that next big project. 

A Numbers Game
Following on from the success of The Crest Collection, we were asked to develop a complementary presentation tool for AD’s heat transfer names and numbers – a side of their business with huge revenue potential.

To raise awareness of the sustainable materials within their portfolio, Avery Dennison enlisted conscious thought leaders Patternity to define a narrative and creative tone rooted in nature. We followed their lead and developed a series of labelling and packaging solutions kinder to the environment.

Natural Selection
Each individual item within the pack heroed sustainable, compostable or recyclable materials, whilst their purpose and messaging revolved around doing things differently, and promoting a more conscious approach to apparel branding.

One of a Kind
The pack was printed using HP Mosaic so that each and every sleeve was unique, much like the creative output of mother nature herself.

Avery Dennison work with the world’s biggest apparel brands from the highstreet to the catwalk and everything inbetween. Their Private Label tool sits at the heart of their business and needs to appeal to all tastes and all levels.

User Friendly
Using insights from the global sales teams we developed a solution with clarity and usability at it’s core. The design evolved through close collaboration with key stakeholders, whilst staying true to the fundamentals of the Avery Dennison brand.
